Last week, the Barracudas competed in the local Maryborough 9s Rugby League competition. This event was held in Maryborough, providing our Barracudas with the opportunity to play against other local schools.
We entered eight teams into the competition, with each team playing four games. The matches were quick, fast, and intense, with each game consisting of one 10-minute half. Our players demonstrated strength and determination, winning the vast majority of their games. Despite playing through the heat and the sudden onset of rain, each player had a big smile and was eager to take on the next challenge.
The hits were hard, and the Barracudas scored some amazing tries. The skills learned during our Barracuda training sessions certainly paid off by the end of the day. While our players felt sore and tired, their enthusiasm for upcoming games remained high.
