Hard work, dedication and a passion for his sport continue to pay off for Utah Blaikie.
The Barracudas Lock Forward has been selected for the NRL Dolphins Academy for the third year running, cementing his status as an emerging young star.
According to the Dolphins website, “the Dolphins have established academies to identify and improve talented players from the areas, including in the Greater Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Wide Bay and Central Queensland areas.
“Participants are given specialised coaching and learn new training techniques to improve their skills and build their chances of progressing to representative and higher grades of rugby league.“
Barracudas Coach, Brett Carter, congratulated Utah on this achievement.
“This shows his dedication to his rugby league journey is proving worth all the hard work on and off the field,” Mr Carter said.
“The Bayside Barracudas coaching team and his fellow teammates take great pride in his achievement.”
Utah is currently in Year 10 at Bayside Christian College and has been a member of the Barracudas team since 2025.
